David Induni was born in Argentina (Neuquén) the 13th of June, 1974. Already as a child, he found himself very attracted by art, and this led him to start studying sculpture and painting. During the years he also attended several ateliers in different art activities.
He studied graphic design and sculpture at the Josefina Conte Art School (Corrientes, Argentina); after one year in this scenery where he had joined the artistic group "Arte Ahora", he move to Cordoba to continue his studies in the National University of Cordoba, in the faculty of Plastic Arts. During these years, David Induni had the feeling that his creativity was limited by using plastics arts only, and decided to introduce photography and the video to his creations.
"For me an atelier is not just paintings, brushes and colors; I also need a computer, a photo camera and a video camera to fill it. I don't believe people who say that an artist can just paint, or sculpt, or take photos, or make films, etc.  As an artist, I feel the need of creating and transmitting ideas; and depending on what you are creating, you will use the appropriate medium for it."
After three years of studies he decided to move from theory to practice: he expanded his knowledge by traveling and living in different countries: Brasil, Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, Chili, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica and USA - where he lived for six years on the islands of Maui, Honolulu and Big Island of Hawaii.
In 2003 he returned to his European origins, where Barcelona and Gran Canaria received him. In 2004 he decided to move to the Country of his ancestors, Switzerland. He than graduated in 2008 as a Visual Communication Designer at the Professional University of Applied Arts in Lugano.
At the moment, David Induni is undertaking several projects which make use of different means of communications. As a painter, he has been invited to take part at the renowned exhibition Biennale of Firenze; as a film maker, he's developing two documentaries and a fiction film. For the time being, he is based in Switzerland - where he finds inspiration in the beauty of landscapes and nature - and travels regularly to main European capitals to stay always in contact with the mind challenging environment these cities offer.
