Although I'm Swiss, I didn't grow up in Switzerland; that's the reason why I wasn't accustomed to some of the cultural aspects. I was surprised when I found out that all the soldiers of the Swiss Army can take their fire guns home, after having finished with their period of training. I started asking myself questions about it, and I started to investigate. I found out that Switzerland is third after USA and Yemen for the number of arms holding civil population;
45.7 % of people is in possession of a fire gun (www.beobachter.ch). I became very curious about this and when I met a family with a passion for shooting, I decided to make a film out of all this. They were very open about their points of view and I decided I wanted to be as neutral as possible, listening to the reasons why they have fire guns at home, why they teach their children how to use them and what they think about the use of guns in Switzerland.
